Spherical graphite is a graphite product that is made from high-quality, high carbon natural flake graphite and uses advanced processing techniques to modify the surface of the graphite. It produces graphite products with different fineness, resembling elliptical spheroids.
Spherical graphite material has good conductivity, high crystallinity, low cost, high theoretical lithium intercalation capacity, low and flat charge discharge potential. It is an important part of the negative electrode material for lithium-ion batteries and a replacement product for negative electrode materials used in foreign lithium-ion battery production. It has excellent conductivity and chemical stability, high charging capacity, long cycle life, and is green and environmentally friendly.
The process of processing spherical graphite first involves roughly crushing, dressing, magnetic separation, and other processes in the spherical graphite workshop to form the initial product spherical graphite. Then, it enters the purification workshop for high-temperature purification and becomes high-purity spherical graphite.
There are two main indicators for measuring the quality of spherical graphite, one is physical performance indicators, and the other is chemical performance indicators. Let's now introduce the measurement standards for these two indicators:
