Graphite's process characteristics are mainly determined by its crystallization form. Crystal forms of graphite minerals have different industrial values and uses. Industry, according to the different crystals, divide natural graphite into three categories.

    1. Deep crystalline graphite

The dense crystal graphite is also called block -like graphite. Such graphite crystals are obviously visible to the naked eye. The diameter of the particles is greater than 0.1 mm, which is concentrated in 0.1-1m/g than the surface area. This: Graphite is characterized by high quality. Generally, carbon content is 60-65%, and sometimes 80-98%, but its plasticity and slipperyability are not as good as scales.

    2. Scales graphite

Graphite crystals are scales; this is made of deterioration under high -intensity pressure, with large scales and fine scales. The characteristics of such graphite ore are not high, generally between 2 and 3%, or 10 to 25%. It is one of the best ore in nature. The floating, lubricability, and plasticity of this type of graphite are superior to other types of graphite; therefore its industrial value is the greatest.

    3. Cultivated crystal graphite

Cultivation crystal graphite, also known as micro-graphite or earth-shaped graphite, is generally less than 1 micron in the diameter of this graphite, which is concentrated in 1-5m/g than the surface area. It is a collection of micro-graphite. See crystal shape. This type of graphite is characterized by soil, lack of luster, and lubricating than scales. High quality. General 60-85%. A few are as high as 90%. There are generally many use in the casting industry. It is mainly hidden in Lutang, Luzhou, Hunan. With the improvement of this graphite purification technology. Earth -shaped graphite applications are becoming more and more extensive.
